About the Reader

Cards, charts, and twelve years of listening — this is the hand behind Starling Arcana.

Portrait of Vivienne Marlowe in warm light

Vivienne Marlowe

Vivienne read her first spread at nineteen, on a borrowed deck at a friend's kitchen table — and the friend cried, laughed, then changed careers within a month. Twelve years, four thousand sessions, and three well-worn decks later, she founded Starling Arcana as a quiet room in New York for loud questions.

Her method is equal parts chart and candor: precise astrology, classic tarot, and zero theatre. Founders bring her launches, couples bring her crossroads, and skeptics bring her spreadsheets. All of them leave with language for what they already knew.

How a session works

Every session — in person at Moon Lane or over video — follows the same honest arc. You bring the question, the cards bring the mirror, and together we translate symbol into strategy. No question is too small; the 'silly' ones are usually the load-bearing ones.

  1. You arrive as you are

No preparation, no birth-data homework for tarot. For chart work, send your birth details when you book.

  2. We name the real question

Ten minutes of honest talk usually reveals the question beneath the question. That is the one we read for.

  3. The symbols speak

Cards, transits, houses — interpreted aloud, in plain language, with room for your corrections and gasps.

  4. You leave with a next step

One theme, one action, and a written summary within a day. Insight without homework is just entertainment.

The house rules

  • No fear, ever. Difficult cards are discussed as challenges with exits — never as curses.
  • No vague fog. If an interpretation doesn't land, we re-deal until it does or refund the session.
  • Everything is confidential. Your questions never leave the room, the call, or the inbox.
  • Readings inform; you decide. The cards advise, but your will writes the ending.

Come sit with the cards

First sessions run long and unhurried — bring the big question, or no question at all.
